In the context of Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) & Alcoholic hepatitis, the transferability of ethanol-induced liver diseases was demonstrated in preclinical models using the Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) (1)

Clinical data:

A meta-analysis consisted of six studies conducted in India (2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8) with a total of 371 patients with severe alcoholic hepatitis (SAH) revealed that FMT has promising short-term benefits for survival rates at 1- and 3-month post-treatment. However, no significant difference was observed between the FMT-treated and SOC-treated groups at 6 and 12 months.
