Sun et al. 2022e npj Parkinson’s Disease 8: 62 published the results of Bifidobacterium animalis lactis Probio-M8 (Probio-M8), Benserazide, and placebo from a 3-month randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial with 82 subjects.
The authors' conclusion was: Taken together, Probio-M8 synergized with the conventional regimen and strengthened the clinical efficacy in managing Morbus Parkinson / Parkinson's Disease (PD), accompanied by modifications of the host’s gut microbiome, gut microbial metabolic potential, and serum metabolites.
