Analyzing 14 patients, SER-401 + nivolumab was safe. The response rate was 25% in the SER-401 arm. It was 67% in the placebo arm. The study was underpowered due to COVID-19. Vancomycin preconditioning disrupted gut microbiota. It impaired immunity. Recovery was incomplete at ICB administration. This was notable in patients with high Ruminococcaceae. These findings are crucial for future trials.
