Inclisiran is a so-called “small interfering RNA” (siRNA) that inhibits the intranuclear translation of Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9). This inhibits the breakdown of Low Density Lipoprotein receptor (LDRL) / LDL receptor in the liver.
