Broad Institute-OpenBiome Microbiome Library (BIO-ML)

The Broad Institute-OpenBiome Microbiome Library, known as BIO-ML, is a research biobank dedicated to the study of human gut bacteria. This library is a collaborative effort between the Broad Institute and OpenBiome, designed to facilitate mechanistic microbiome studies. It boasts a collection of 7,758 gut bacterial isolates and 3,632 paired genome sequences. Additionally, it includes linked longitudinal multi-omics data, establishing itself as a valuable reference resource for both culture-based and systems-level microbiome research (1, 2)
