MHC class I-like molecules

MHC class I-like molecules are a diverse group of proteins that share structural similarities with classical MHC class I / HLA class I human molecules but often have distinct functions in the immune system.

MHC class I-like molecules typically consist of a heavy chain with three extracellular domains (alfa1, alfa2, and alfa3) and a beta2-microglobulin light chain. They can be broadly classified into two categories:
