Carcinoid

A carcinoid tumor is a type of slow-growing cancer that can develop in various parts of the body, such as the digestive tract (stomach, appendix, small intestine, colon, rectum) or the lungs. Carcinoid tumors are one subset of tumors called neuroendocrine tumors, which are cancerous but often grow slowly, leading to a condition sometimes referred to as "cancer in slow motion."
