PRIM-DJ2727 is a oral, lyophilized fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT), classified as academic/investigational FMT (encapsulated) rather than a industry-standardized, drug-classified LBP, patented product developed for therapeutic use in various conditions by modulating gut microbiota. It is prepared from stool collected from thoroughly screened healthy donors and formulated into lyophilized capsules for oral administration.
PRIM-DJ2727 is best classified as a complex, whole-community-mimicking microbiota consortium, because it is derived from screened human donor stool and contains a broad, naturally occurring microbial community rather than a defined mixture of selected strains.
PRIM-DJ2727 is made from 150 g of human stool mixed with 750 mL of 0.85% NaCl (normal saline) and 2% mannitol, which reduces the fluffiness of the product. The product is stored at -80°C for future analysis and maintained at 4°C during clinical use
