The role of NLRC1 / NOD1 (NOD-like receptor family CARD Domain-Containing Protein 1) in Breast Cancer / Mammacarcinoma is complex. Studies have demonstrated that activating NLRC1 / NOD1 can inhibit tumor growth in cell lines derived from the human breast cancer epithelial cell line MCF-7. This indicates that NLRC1 / NOD1 may possess a tumor-suppressing function in breast cancer. Its activation or overexpression might contribute to inhibiting tumor progression.
