Certain Bifidobacterium breve strains can induce T helper 17 cell (Th17) differentiation and Interleukin-17 (IL-17) / IL-17A (mCTLA-8) Production in vitro and in vivo models.
However, other studies found that Bifidobacterium breve can attenuate the Interleukin-17 Family / Interleukin-17 (IL-17) response and reduce Interleukin-17 Family / Interleukin-17 (IL-17) levels in colitis models.
