Based on NCT02990338, the combination of Dexamethasone, Isatuximab, and Pomalidomide has resulted in an increase of 6.9 months in median overall survival compared to the use of just Dexamethasone and Pomalidomide. This regimen has now been established as a new standard of care for patients with multiple myeloma that is resistant to lenalidomide and proteasome inhibitors, or for those who have experienced a relapse. The addition of Isatuximab to Dexamethasone and Pomalidomide significantly enhances progression-free survival for individuals dealing with relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma. Isatuximab stands out as an important new therapeutic option for managing relapsed and refractory myeloma, particularly for patients who have developed resistance to lenalidomide and a proteasome inhibitor.
