The trial is a double-blind randomized prevention trial that investigates the effects of Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG). Participants in the trial, which included 188 children aged between 6 months and 10 years, were administered either a dose of 1 x 10^10 to 2 x 10^10 colony-forming units of LGG per day or a placebo.
