Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) is emerging as a plausible strategy to (partly) overcome resistance to PD‑1–based immunotherapy in advanced cutaneous melanoma, with several small trials showing meaningful response rates but still limited sample sizes and no regulatory approval
Unfortunately, for the randomized clinical trials NCT04577729 and NCT05251389 as well as for the non-randomized clinical trial NCT03353402 no published results were found as of May 2026
