In the context of Avelumab & Merkel Cell Carcinoma (MCC), the FDA granted accelerated approval to Avelumab in March 2017 for the treatment of adults and pediatric patients 12 years and older with metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) (1). The indication pertains to metastatic disease and does not depend on previous lines of systemic therapy.
