Bispecific CD3 engagers (BCEs) are biologic COMMs with one domain that binds a target cell and a second domain that binds the CD3 subunit of T cell receptor, and activates receptor signalling.
At least 40 of these Bispecific CD3 engagers (BCEs) have reached the clinic, and several have yielded promising results. BCEs have shown biological activity in at least eight types of cancer, including solid tumours. Multiple groups are also developing bispecific antibodies that recruit natural killer cells to tumors
