In the context of Capecitabine + Radiation / Radiotherapy (RT) & Colorectal cancer (CRC), Capecitabine + Radiation / Radiotherapy (RT) is an accepted and guideline‑endorsed standard for neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy in locally advanced rectal cancer, but the “combination regimen” as such is not a separately named FDA or EMA labeled indication beyond the underlying capecitabine rectal cancer indication (1)

Research has shown that concurrent chemoradiation with capecitabine can be effective in the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer. 3-year disease-free survival rates were 69% (62–74) (95% CI 0·49–0·97; p=0·034) (2)
