It is a randomized, double blind, placebo controlled, 6‑month outpatient prevention trial studying Lactobacillus johnsonii LA1 (lyophilized, 2 packets per day, each 2×10⁹ cfu) or placebo (maltodextrin) in 98 enrolled patients with Crohn’s disease (CD) after “curative” ileal, ileocolonic, or colonic resection (all macroscopic lesions removed) over six months (1)
