The clinical trial, known as the TarGut CKD Study, focuses on the impact of p-inulin on the gut microbiome in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The study aims to explore how p-inulin, a type of Inulin-type fructans (ITF) / Inulin, affects the composition and function of the gut microbiome. Additionally, it assesses the tolerability of Inulin-type fructans (ITF) / Inulin administration and the feasibility of collecting stool samples from participants.
