On December 16, 2020, the FDA approved margetuximab-cmkb for use in adults with Breast Cancer / Mammacarcinoma (HER2+). This approval is specifically for patients who have already undergone two or more prior anti-HER2 treatments, with at least one of these treatments being for metastatic disease (1).
The approval was supported by the results of the SOPHIA study. In conjunction with margetuximab-cmkb, the chemotherapy options available include capecitabine, eribulin, gemcitabine, or vinorelbine, with gemcitabine being an approved partner (2)
