The results of this randomized clinical phase II/III treatment trial indicated that in preschool children suffering from Acute gastroenteritis / Acute infectious diarrhea, administering a 5-day course of Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) did not lead to improved outcomes when compared to those who were given a placebo.
