MMG-11 is a small-molecule antagonist that selectively inhibits TLR2/1 signaling. It contains a pyrogallol (1,2,3-triphenol) motif, which renders it highly susceptible to oxidation, limiting its usability in routine or extended experiments under aerobic conditions. MMG-11 does not directly interact with TLR1 or TLR6 subunits of the TLR complex, showing specificity for TLR2-mediated signaling pathways.
