Oxidative Stress / Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) are highly reactive molecules that play a dual role in carcinogenesis. They are involved in both the initiation and progression of cancer (low ROS levels), as well as in the therapeutic targeting of cancer cells (high ROS levels).
