The study, which focuses on XXX - Bifidobacterium animalis lactis BB-12 TM + Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) + Lactobacillus acidophilus LA-5 TM + Lactobacillus delbrueckii bulgaricus LBY-27 + Streptococcus thermophilus STY-31 TM & Ulcerative Colitis (UC), suggests that there is no significant difference in the colonic microflora between patients suffering from Crohn's disease and those with Ulcerative Colitis. Furthermore, the administration of synbiotics did not alter the range of bacteria present.(1)
