Oncolytic virus therapy in cutaneous melanoma mainly means intralesional talimogene laherparepvec, also called T-VEC or Imlygic. It is the only oncolytic virus with established regulatory approval for melanoma, and its role is local treatment of injectable skin, subcutaneous, or nodal lesions rather than control of visceral metastatic disease.
