There was a double-blind, randomized trial involving 30 healthy volunteers who were randomly assigned to receive Dronabinol or a placebo for three doses. The researchers measured GI functions non-invasively and found that Dronabinol stimulation inhibits motility and increases food intake in rodents, but its effects on the human GI tract were unclear.
