FDA Approval

In the United States, the combination Bupropion + Dextromethorphan is approved by the FDA under the brand name Auvelity TM. It is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) in adults, with its initial approval granted in 2022. According to the current FDA prescribing information, Auvelity is formulated as dextromethorphan hydrobromide 45 mg combined with bupropion hydrochloride 105 mg in extended-release tablets.
