Elevated expression of the enzyme ST6Gal 1 Sialyltransferase (ST6Gal-I) has been identified in the context of drug-resistant T-ALL / T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemiacell lines, both in laboratory settings (in vitro) and within living organisms (in vivo). This heightened presence of ST6GAL1 is directly associated with the development of drug resistance in these cells.
Within T-ALL cell lines, a regulatory axis involving ZFAS1, miR-150, and ST6GAL1 has been observed.
