Clostridium ramosum, recently reclassified as Thomasclavelia ramosa, belongs to a newly proposed genus Thomasclavelia. Thomasclavelia ramosa belongs to the family Coprobacillaceae within the order Erysipelotrichales. It is present in the human gut microbiota, particularly in the rectal mucosa.
